Ucash Virus

Just got back from my nieces. Her 14yr old son has managed to pick up the above virus. Using her other computer found a site giving instructions on how to clear it. Followed the instructions got to start in safe mode with networking and then just got a completely white screen and nothing else. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

I just removed Ukash from friend's machine.
First, on a clean machine download and run HitmanPro.
At the bottom of the main screen is a little icon that aloows you to create a bootable USB stick. Crate the stick, then boot the dirty machine with it.
After you log in, ther will be a pause, then HitmanPro will run automatically and detect the virus. In order to remove it, you must activate HitmanPro, but there is an option for a free 30 day activation. USe that and remove the virus.

Reboot the machine normally, then download MalwareBytes AntiMalware Free and run a full scan.

Thanks for your replies, I'm expected to turn up at the nieces' tomorrow with the magic wand and cure all the problems. Methyl the computer is, I think, a Dell Inspron running Windows Seven. Once again thanks for your input and I'll let you know how I get on tomorrow.
