Hi WyeDyed,
I'm trying to peplace dc socket (the socket mains lead goes into on back of laptop). It seems I have to strip laptop right down, including taking off keyboard etc., to replace. Three choices. 1) computer repair shop at £100 +, the guy is very fair and wont *** me, says he needs about 3 -4 hours to work on it which equates to £30 per hr, says himself not worth the expense. 2) repair myself if I can, part costs £5-00 on ebay, or 3) buy a new laptop at £250 - £300 refurbished from pc world.
Thanks mate for enquiring,
Bob
