Norton Security Error

each time I log on a couple of minutes later I get a message from Norton anti virus saying:-installation failed-Norton anti virus has encountered an error 8506.421.
tried talking to Norton online but they never have an operator available.
I downloaded Norton as soon as I got it and registered it.
HELP please

Googling 'error 8506.421' shows that you're not alone! The most commonly suggested solution is to start gain. i.e. download and run the Norton removal tool:

Restart your computer (to force the registry to update itself) and then reinstall Norton.
