I am trying to drag and drop movies from a folder on my laptop desktop into iTunes. Nothing seems to happen. Does anyone know how I can do this? Most of the movie files I have on my laptop are avi files. I thought these could be copied straight into iTunes? If not is there a way to convert them to a file type that can be transferred?
Many thanks in advance

I think you'd have to convert them to ......... .mov or .m4v or .mp4

Thanks The Builder. Any idea how I do that?! I'm not as techno-savvy as I used to be!
Not something I do much either, Ripley, but I've just had a Google for "video converter"......... several free ones come up.

Just make sure it accepts .avi and can convert to .mov for instance.
You'll have to download the file and run it. It should be as simple as that (famous last words)
Good luck

Haha! Many thanks. I will give it a go. Sounds simple enough but yes, famous last words!
To import movies to itunes, you need to convert the movie into itunes compatible fomats. You can use a video converter to do it.
