I type a question into the address bar and results come up. When I click on a link from there I keep getting newsbuster website. The only way I can get to the link I want is to copy and paste the url into the address bar. Does anyone know how to stop this happening please?

Kathyan......Have you been looking at any dodgy websites to have downloaded into your computer, accidentally, what is classified as a virus.?

Follow the links which bibblebub has given and hopefully you will get your computer back to being clean.

Thanks bibblebub. I downloaded that free malware thing and I've done a complete scan (took over 4 hours!) and it seems to have solved the problem. Alston, I don't know where it came from, it's been like it for a few days and it really annoyed me because I didn't know what I'd done! Anyway everything is OK now, so thank you.

I am delighted that everything is now Ok and am pleased that you have given 'Best Answer' to bibblebub.

4hrs to fully scan with Malwarebytes suggests that there is lot being stored on your computer. Anyway, now that you have done a full scan, it should only be necessary next time to click open 'Perform Quick Scan'. My computer is given a quick scan every week with the Anti Virus programme
(Microsoft Security Essentials) and once a fortnight a run through with the short scan of Malwarebytes.

Keep posting in AB if you have problems.

As you Internet browser default search engine is google , you can change it in Internet browser setting. http://newbattery.com.au
