How Can I Get My Favorite Shoes Clean?

My favorite shoes look awful and need cleaning. I've tried all I know. They are part fabric, part fake leather and have Velcro tabs. I'm afraid they'll fall apart if I soak them. I've used spray cleaner and white shoe polish, but I still can't get the fabric part clean. I love these shoes and they were expensive. I even used a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on them this morning...all but the fabric part came clean. Any ideas how to get the grungy mesh fabric part clean without ruining the Velcro tabs? Has anyone else cleaned similar shoes with success? Thanks.

sorry that is a problem with fabric shoes, using a protector spray from. new would have been my advice had you bought them from me.
you could try baby wipes.
