I cannot open IExplorer as it keeps saying there is an error and is shutting down.
I cannot find it anywhere in the programmes and can't 'uninstall'.
Good job I have safari.
Try a reset, go to Internet options > Advanced and follow the prompts.
If that doesn't work, try re-installing from the Microsoft site.
If you tell me which OS you are using I will try and find a link.
I have tried downloading another version but when I click run it says there is already a version running! The error occurs when I click to open the icon just fades off after about one second and a small window appears saying
" windows cannot open Internet Explorer this programme will shut down and Microsoft will try and find a solution"" or words similar.
One strange thing though is that if I continually click on open several windows open and I can actually use one with the message still hovering.
Tried malware and reg check but no probs found.
What edition do you have of Internet Explorer.? It could have a bearing on matters now that we know your OS is Windows 7.
Personally, I Do Not like IE and prefer Firefox as my default Browser. However,I still like to keep IE fully working as a 'back-up' Browser; along with Google Chrome and Safari.
Many thanks for all your comments and helpful tips.
