The error message is; The exception unknown software exception (0x06d007e) occurred in the application 0x7c812fd3.
Google earth was OK last time I used it some time ago. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the programme but however I try to open it I get the same error message. Is there anything I can do about it? Do I need a techie?

I hope you get some answers, jayemcee because I'm having problems with GE also. I did the same as you and still can't get it to work. I'm wondering if it could be a graphics card problem. I'm using Windows XP and Firefox. Hope you don't mind me hopping aboard here.

Welcome stewey, fingers crossed. I am about to have another dabble.
OK, let me know what happens. I'm about to take mine to the hospital:) Also still hoping that someone will come along and point us in the right direction.

Have just checked out the system requirements for GE and everything looks OK except that I have a 32mb 800x600 (32bit) 60hz card. This worked alright previously, so has the GE requirements changed in the last few months?
