My laptop is connecting to the router but is saying it is only getting limited access and won't connect to the internet. However I know that the router is connected to the internet because I can get it on my phone. Why will the computer not access the internet via the router?

Try resetting the TCP/IP winsock. (It sounds a bit technical but it's actually very easy).

The instructions here are for Windows Vista but those for Windows 7 (and, as far as I'm aware, 8) are the same:

Chris, tried that but it didn't solve it. Any other suggestions appreciated. I had it connected to a different router last night and it was working okay but will not work with this one. I don't know if anything would have changed since last night in the settings.
Have you tried the second bit from that link? (It's sometimes worked for me). i.e. replace 'netsh winsock reset' with 'netsh int ip reset'

Tried the second thing too but to no avail. I'll see if I can try and connect it to the initial router to see if that works when I get a chance but if it does then I've never seen that happen before.

In fairness it is a laptop which I loaded with Vista and had to install drivers to connect in the first place. Then I loaded it with avg, Malwarebytes and Ccleaner and did a registry clean so maybe something happened during those processes.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Using Firefox. I've tried the laptop on two routers today and it worked fine. So if I try it with the problematic router and it doesn't work then I'm lost.

As I've said earlier my phone connects to the other router and connects to internet but the laptop connects to router but not the internet. I'll check it later and take it from there.

Thanks again.

Seems it's a done deal for the 60's then. I suppose I can see the point in that. However I'm surprised that so few, if any, picked the 90's. In my opinion the 70' and 80's weren't great bar a couple of acts and I wouldn't listen to it, but there are still a lot of 90's acts still performing.
