Windows 8.1 On New Pc

Looking at purchasing a pc but want it preloaded with Windows 8.1. Don't want to have to download it. Any idea how long it usually takes for manufacturers to roll out the new operating system on their machines. Ie do they usually have to sell old stock before they update to the new Version

Any day now should see new computers being rolled out by manufactures with Windows 8.1 installed.
