Cd Won't Play.
A CD-R, I used to use a while ago- it's a language course- now doesn't open up, instead I get a message; 'Unsupported Configuration. Sorry your screen resolution is not supported. Try a different setting.'
I am using Windows XP and other CDs work OK. What does "Try a different setting" mean please?

You can easily search in Google for "Change screen resolution in XP", that's all I did and got the hit below: http:// windows. microsoft. com/ en- GB/ windows- xp/ help/ setup/ change- monitor- resolution

Your screen will be set at a resolution like 1024x768 or 1680x1050 which is the number of pixels it can show.
To change it you can right click on the desktop to get a menu and then change it (make a note of what it is before you can change it so you can set it back afterwards).
However it would be useful to know what resolution the program is expecting so you can set it to that first.
