I have Windows 8 and I think I saw the other day that I can upgrade to 8.1.

Should I do it?

Well it is huge upgrade, I have seen figures of 3Gb or more mentioned.

I have also read about people having problems after they have upgraded.

So only upgrade if:

a) You can leave your laptop sitting there doing nothing for a few hours while it is downloading.

b) Have all your personal data backed up first.

c) Have a backup image of your current Windows 8 system in case you need to reinstall Windows 8

You should not have got Wins 8, MS herself condemned it. Wins 8.1 is a temp update to Wins 8. Wiat for Wins 9
Windows 8 is a disaster , so much so that lots of companies insist that their newest computers are loaded with windows 7 and not windows 8.
