Hi, I've just up-graded iPad3 with iOS7 but am unsure what the "Private" facility to the left-hand side of screen, above the keyboard does. Can anyone enlighten me please. It does change address bar from White to Black but it must be more than that I'm sure. Thanks for all advice. Tel

To turn on/off private browsing, move the tab either to "on" or "off". Private browsing does three things: (1) the iPad will no longer keep track of the websites you visit or the searches you perform in the search bar, (2) the iPad will block certain types of 'tracking' cookies from external websites and (3) the border of the Safari app will turn black to indicate you are in private mode.

yes Jomlett you are right ,private browising provides you to go on any sites ,your ippad does not store cache of your private browising
