I use Avast antivirus and Sygate firewall protection. Norton's alright to a degree, but try to get technical help. I spent a day, and a fortune, trying to contact them. Took the programme back and got a refund. Don't know what they're like now.
By the way, if you want to stop pop-ups, install Mozilla Firefox browser. Superb.

After finding Panda Titanium Anti-virus about 3 years ago I wouldn't think of using anything else. It has stopped numerous viruses and neutralized them before they did any harm. It now comes with its own Firewall. Not free but worth every penny for peace of mind. Once it's installed and configured you can forget it as everything is done automatically.

Yep Panda antivirus i definetly the best there is as it's alot more powerful than Norton and is updated more regularly.  Often when Norton detects a virus it is still powerless to remove because of some complicated reason or other and this is frustrating, but Panda titanium is brilliant, if it finds a virus it's never not deleted it for me but also it removes adware and spyware during the scan.

I recommend the Trend Micro anti-virus suit. I have seen it used in many corporate environments and use it myself as well. Never had any issues with it what so ever.

Granted, it does cost a little more then most, but it really is a good product.

Like dOgsbOdy, I've got Avast, Sygate and Adaware. No problems.

A very good and free Anti Virus programme is Grisoft AVG.
