I'm using Firefox. How would I uninstall it if it is the cause of the freezing?

I'm sure there'll be a computer expert along eventually to give us an answer.
I don't know if an Ad-Blocker would freeze your PC.

You need to click the orange "Firefox" (top left), then click "Add-ons". That will give you the option of removing or disabling the add-on.

I don't access it that way on my Firefox. I have an add blocker icon on the far right of the search box.
I've never experianced any PC freezing because of it though.

I see I needed to go to 'Extensions' to remove it. I'll see how it goes without ad-blocker.
AB (the unmentionable one) is unlikely to cause Firefox to freeze. In fact I am aware that FF 25 is prone to freezing, on some sites; especially Yahoo Mail.

You could revert to FF 24, or as I am doing, wait to see if Mozilla issues an 'up-date patch' to fix the problem.

I got lots of "freezing" until I disabled "Shockwave Flash". It's one of the add-ons, as explained by other posters.
Too many Add-Ons can slow down a computer. However Do Not get shot of the ones which are important.

@bert_h.....You need a Flash Player to view and listen to Video Clips from You Tube. ......See how you now get on with the following link:-

I've disabled the ad-blocker and the computer is running smoothly and faster.

It played perfectly okay for me, but I checked my plug-ins, and indeed "Shockwave Flash" was still disabled - so whatever played the clip for me, it wasn't that.
