My laptop charger/adaptor has died. I want to buy original make not compatible, can't find exact one on hp site, so was wondering if there's a trusted place on line that sells original ones that you could recommend please?
Belkin make a universal laptop charger that has all of the correct adapters but make sure you use the correct one for yours. The centre pin is critical as it has the polarity needed.
When my son's charger for his Acer laptop died I found many suitable replacements on ebay. For what the replacement cost it wasn't even worth me firing up the soldering iron to repair the old one (but I did anyway when I had time so we have an emergency spare in the press)
Sorry guys I thought this was dead in the water then came across your replies for which I thank you. Because I didn't think anyone was going to answer, the OH decided to find somewhere online after en extensive search and order one from The Laptop Power Supply shop. They have good reviews it seems, don't know what they are like but will have to see. Thanks again for taking an interest.
Had a look on there Prudie but could only find compatible, perhaps I wasn't looking as thoroughly as I should then as I've bought from Amazon before and after HP it was the first place I went.
