Recently purchased a Mac book air and today the sound will not work, even the noise to turn the volume up doesn't work, when i tried to shut down my computer a notification popped up telling me iTunes is still downloading a song. this is not true because the song has already downloaded onto my iPod, buy iCloud , when i tried to open up iTunes it wouldn't open, SO my speakers won't work and my computer can't restart or shut down...could someone please help me?

Have you tried emergency shutdown: hold down power button for five seconds?
Considering that you have at least or three times for your Mac, that you would have paid for a perfectly good PC, I suggest that you take it back to wherever you bought and let them sort it out !
Have you tried to Force Quit iTunes under the Apple symbol?
