Modification Of Sun-300G Grid Tie Power Inverter
2 Answers
Just received a new Sun-300G Power Inverter, Grid-Tie version. This inverter is designed to put AC current into your home wiring by converting DC current from solar panels.
We want to take the DC Current from Solar Panels and feed it to a standard computer power adapter, which uses AC current (150 watt draw) via DC to AC inverter. The problem is, that this Sun-300g Inverter has a "Power Island" protection scheme which prevents direct output of AC current. The system only works by plugging into existing house socket, thus supplementing normal sourced power; but preventing direct access to inverted current.
Any geniuses out here know how to by-pass the Protection scheme?
