... according to the 'ee' mobile phone company I don't exist.

I want a new phone, I submitted an application.

A nice young lady rang me back to tell me that I had passed the credit test, but failed the identity check - "We are unable to verify that you exist".

"But I have a passport, driving licence, bank accounts, credit cards and have lived at my current house for over 20 years"

"Sorry - the computer says you don't exist and that's that - no phone".

I apparently have the option of going into an 'ee' shop and seeing if I can convince them ... but she couldn't/wouldn't tell me how I might achieve this. Any ideas?

Just a glitch in the Matrix, it'll soon be patched.
Go in naked.....then when they give your full....and honest...description to the police you can provide the evidence and they won't be able to deny your existence...whatever the computer says....☻

our house doesn't exist according to the post office or search enquiries. if you lived here what would happen then?

ps. house is about 400 years old.
Is "a figment of your collective imaginations" another way of saying "nightmare?"
Morning LadyJ.
Was your house a new build for you? ;-)
bl**dy h*ll did you have soggy cornflakes for breakfast this morning or was your razor blunt?
I think SD just needs re-assurance that he exists...the alternative doesn't bear thinking about.

To compound the daftness - I have now ordered the precise same phone, on the exact same 'ee' tariff, from Ivegothetherighttelephonicdeviceforyousir - who have charged me £9.99 less than 'ee' and seem prepared to believe in my existence. Very odd indeed.

You can get dressed now then....☺
Is spring in the air already?
I've tried hard to forget about you ever since you ditched the elephant for the Bennster.

Best speaker I've ever heard Jim - I'd have followed him over any number of barricades - a man with more principles than you can shake a stick at.

Nelly will be back when I abandon my periodic jousts in News with the Thatcherati and return to the sanity of The Listener and CB.

But I keyed it all in, Triggs - and she read it back to me - and it was correct.
Well Tony Benn wasn't bad but I prefer Steven Gerrard.

Now Tony Benn.....♥

Yep, Triggs - I shall be ringing ee to find out who they use & how I get my data corrected/verified.
On your ee phone? Will they believe you exist then???.
