flip text in microsoft Word

Hi at the moment im using Microsoft word and I want to flip some test horizontaly. I understand that in order to do this I ned to highlight my word, then on the drawing toolbar click draw and point to rotate, the trouble is I am not able to select rotate or any of the other optins for that matter! I'm confused (and not the best at computers as you can tell) can someone please help, I'm getting all hot and flustered! :O)
