I'm using the Windows Live Mail (2012) program, with a Gmail account, using IMAP.

The question is about Spam. Spam is put in the spam folder by Gmail. If I use the Junk mail options in Windows Live Mail (e.g. Add sender to safe sender list, Mark as not junk), will this successfully change the behaviour of the Gmail spam filtering, or can that only be done via Gmail's web interface?
