Photos To My Pc

Have got an old Samsung mobile,it's a GT-S5230.When I connect the phone and my pc together with the cable I bought,it comes up,USB not recognised.Any ideas what's wrong,or what I need to do?

i hope that works, because i have a Samsung mobile, with a USB cable and still haven't been able to download my pictures from the mobile to the computer.

I have a Samsung phone and downloaded Samsung Kies which did the trick

i did that a number of times and still no, i expected it to be quite simple, proved not.

Have you enabled 'Mass Storage' on your phone? Before plugging in the USB cable, and with the phone in Menu mode, select Settings → Phone settings → PC connections → Mass storage → Save. Then plug the cable in. (To exit 'Mass Storage' press the power button twice).
