I have downloaded malwarebytes onto my Samsung android tablet and done a scan. It is telling me I have 2 infections, both of which are mobogenie. However, I don't know whst to do. One of the options in 'add to whitelist' What does that mean?

How do I get rid of the infections?

whitelist is the opposite of a blacklist, it means "keep it". I don't know how these things work, but isn't there an option to delete all infected objects or tomething?
You should have a Delete facility for Malwarebytes viruses.
Zap them
Whitelisting is the opposite to Blacklisting. To whitelist you are allowing the software/program to continue doing what it might be doing.
Blah, god I'm too slow.

Jno, I have already found the website in your link but it seems so very complicated.
Thank you Redman, There is a delete facility. I have now done that.

Any information about the privacy manager, anyone.? How does that work?
Hi Tilly....There is a Mobogenie App and whilst it is Not a definite Virus it could be advisable to remove it. In actual fact it appears to be quite straightforward and, whilst I am Not a Tablet Techie, this is what I have extracted from a lengthy article on the matter.

// Visit your device’s Settings menu > Apps or Application manager (this may differ depending on your device).
Touch the Mobogenie app.
Select Uninstall. That’s it, Mobogenie should be removed from your Android device, and you will NOT need to follow any other steps.//

However, if Malwarebytes has put them into Quarantine, you should be able to remove them from there.

Hans.
