Internet Explorer 11
In trying to change the opening page of IE, the instructions say - Click "settings" and you will get the list Options, Privacy, About, Help, Account and Permissions.
However what I get is the list Desktop, Control Panel. Personalisation, PC Info and Help. What is going on here please, why is IE11 not doing what IE11 should do?

However most of the 'regulars' around here are likely to either gasp in despair or fall on the floor laughing at the idea that anyone is still actually using the dreaded (and totally dire) Internet Explorer. Get a decent browser!

Well, thank you all for your help. Firstly, I have reinstated the menu and toolbars. I have also downloaded Mozilla and will see if I prefer it although I have always been familiar with IE. At the moment both browsers have only a google toolbar at their centres and there is the problem. Tomorrow I shall see what I can put on the opening screen. I may have another look at Yahoo news etc. It is comforting to know that there are "regulars" like yourselves that we "dabblers" can ask for solutions. Thank you.
Hi redman.... I am assuming that you agree with knockavacca and his view that....."buenchico, you are entitled to your opinion of course, but I see nothing wrong with ie11, as do many millions of others"
Perhaps therefore you will allow me to say..." I am of the same opinion".....as Buenchico that is. :-)
