I worked as a nightclub DJ when this song was first a hit. At first the management banned us from playing the record, but they finished up organising two 'teams' and giving a bottle of sparkling to the winners.

So, I have never actually been in a 'rowing' team, but I have seen dozens!

These days I don't tend to go to places where it would be played.
