New Desktop Pc Advice Needed
9 Answers
Hi
I'm about to buy a new PC as mine is about 10 yrs old and very slow. Has anyone got any advice on what sort of things I should have on it, such as how many GB etc? I've got an Ipad so I don't use my PC every day. I'd mainy use it for storing photos, music and using Excel & Word. Is 8GB a lot? What other things should I look for such as the speed of the processor etc? I want it to last me a good few years without having to upgrade the memory and so on.
Any advice much appreciated.

Why not store your photos and music on your ipad. You also get 5gb worth of space in iCloud. Pages & Numbers for ipad I think are now free (Word & Excel respectively).
I too have an old (8years) laptop running Windows Xp. I can count on one hand how many times in the last two years it has been used. Everything is now on my ipad.
