How To Get Rid Of Outfox.tv From Windows 7

Outfox.TV appears on my computer, but i cannot remove it from control panel, how can i remove it completely?

There are plenty of sites that offer instructions for getting rid of malware such as this but some of them invite you to download and install software which might actually put further malware (or worse) onto your computer. However this site is safe and the instructions should work for you:

However that site does tend to go for an 'overkill' approach. You probably don't need to follow all of the steps there. 'Step 5' on its own might well do the job for you (so that's where I'd start). i.e. you should download, install and run the free version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:

Note the following:
1. When installing it, take care to deselect the option to take a free trial of the (paid-for) 'PRO' version.
2. When running it, use the 'Quick scan' option.
3. Don't be surprised when that so-called 'quick' scan takes well over half an hour to run.
4. When the scan finishes, click the button to view the results. Ensure that there's a tick alongside everything shown and then click to remove all of the selected items.

(Note the program has an inbuilt uninstaller that works. Don't be misled by sites that give long instructions to shut down portions of the program, as this BREAKS THE UNINSTALLER, and you are then stuck with their services they try to charge you for.

HOW DO I UNINSTALL OUTFOXTV?

*** IMPORTANT *** - if we discover difficulties users encounter with uninstalling, we update the uninstaller periodically to fix these problems. We are however unable to update the uninstaller on your system automatically.
The easiest way to ensure you use the latest uninstaller (which is the most efficient) is to install the latest version of OutfoxTV then run the uninstaller.

The process to install the latest version then run the uninstaller is shown here.

Once the latest version is installed, to uninstall please do the following :

WINDOWS 8 :

Place your cursor on the bottom right corner of the screen until you see the sidebar come up.

Click “Settings,” then click “Control Panel.”
Click “Programs and Features” from the Control Panel screen.
Scroll down through the program list until you find OutfoxTV.
Right click on the program and select the “Change” option.
Choose Uninstall.

WINDOWS 7 and XP :

To uninstall – DO ONE OF THE FOLLOWING

Option 1: Visit and click the Start / All Programs / OutfoxTV / Uninstall link.

OR



Option 2: Browse to C:/Program Files/OutfoxTV and double click the uninstaller exe.

OR

Option 3: Use the Control Panel / Uninstall Program feature to select OutfoxTV and click “Change” to Uninstall.

Having selected one of the uninstall options above, you will be presented with the Uninstall process.

The first screen provides the opportunity to change OutfoxTV to hidden mode by removing the saved browser tab and/or the visible Desktop Launchbar.

Unchecking these boxes then “Save Settings”, and restarting any browsers, will apply these settings.

Should you instead wish to completely uninstall OutfoxTV, choose the Uninstall option to proceed to the next screen :

If you wish to remove the Application and also remove the saved browser tabs that provide a link to www.outfox.tv, ensure you select the “Remove www.outfox.tv from saved browser tab/homepage” checkbox, then click Uninstall.

You will receive a message the uninstallation is complete:

IMPORTANT :
After clicking FINISH, restart your PC to ensure any remaining files are cleaned up and uninstall is properly completed.
