For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.It does sound like you laser may be on the way out, it may be worth while purchasing a hard drive to put into your PS2, you would need to remove the expansion port and slip in a hard drive-such as maxtor and you would also need the ps2 network adaptor. The whole lot is likely to cost about �70 but the games will play and will work upto 30 times faster than a working PS2 let alone a faulty one....You can buy the whole kit from various websites or off ebay....Have a look here for further info...You can then transfer all your games onto the hard drive. This is all legal as long as you own the games.
