what is that ?
They are getting better, think laptop. Anything specific in mind?

A lot of the parts are smaller and replacements can be expensive.

We have got two laptops but my son prefers a desktop PC for gaming.
It would be nice not to have the bulky tower.
Smaller footprint, less 'spaghetti' trailing, pain in the harris if one component - say screen or hard drive - fails.

What are you saying,snags,better to have a tower or just that it is more expensive to repair a All-in-One?
What do you mean by games?
Some games require a high spec machine.

not these war games etc,he only plays pool/snooker etc.
In which case he doesn't need a cable ;-)

Had to Google to see what these were. Look neat enough but not very upgradable I suspect.
If superspeed is not an requirement, Google for a mini desktop computer. They are a lot smaller than a normal tower.
I was looking at these when I replaced desktop PC last year.

The salesman warned me away from because in his words 'The PC is the best all-rounder, the laptop has a lower spec as they cant cram it all in and the all-in-one is the next stage down and would be his 3rd choice'.
