Hotmail Problem After Ios Upgrade
5 Answers
I upgraded my iPad to IOS 7.1 today and have run into a problem with Hotmail when I try to access it using the Hotmail icon.
All of the folders seem to be 'dead' (if that makes sense) and the only mail being displayed is from 12 May. I have no way to exit this or move on.
I am still getting Hotmail messages on my phone (S3).
I tried accessing Hotmail via the browser, and only the inbox is showing, though the mails are up to date.
Is there anyone who can help? Please make any advice as simple as possible as I am technologically very unsavvy.
Thanks very much.

Everyone who ever updates their IOS has problems.
The theory is that it's deliberate.
You buy an Apple device. It's fab.
You update your IOS. It becomes a pain in the butt.
Then a fab new Apple device comes out. You buy a new one, because your old one seems a bit slow, and it has problems.
Your new device is fab. Then ...
You update your IOS ...

Of course, a company with high morals and ethics like Apple would never purposefully make their old devices obsolete just so that they could sell a few million new devices.
They'd much prefer us to hang on to our old ones, and just update them.
That's why they give us a wonderful, updated IOS to prolong the life of our old ...
... heey, hang on a minute ...

My own first choice action would be to try the suggestion from Garywoo on page 1 (which seems to be endorsed by Kay_kay24 further down the page).

Thank you for your reply. I have done as Garywoo suggested but I am still no further on. Would it help if I said that the little circle thing is still spinning when I try to access Hotmail (iPad only)? Does this mean that messages are on the server and might be downloaded later?
I am totally confused now, but thanks again.
