How do I delete something I posted on FB recently. I have deleted things before and thought I just right clicked and deleted, but when i right clicked I did not get the option - delete

A right-click to delete function on FB is news to me.

At the top right corner of your post, you should see an 'X' mark or a downward pointing chevron. So, either a straightforward click on the X or click the arrow for a drop-down menu.

I haven't used FB for a few months but the last change I recall was to give more control over the 'depth' of deletion; i.e. the power to delete an item from friends' (and f-o-fs') timelines, rather than just take it off your own feed and the control over that is within this menu.

Bulk message deletion, profile suspend, profile delete is all dealt with on your profile settings page.
