Laptop Making A Noise.

I have just noticed my laptop making a sort of "hissing noise"..I was downloading a game on Wild Tangent,when I noticed it...I have closed that down and the noise is much less now.
Could it be that my laptop is about to break down or something like that???

I can only guess that either the Wild Tangent website was playing that sound, or the last time you opened the laptop you inadvertently trapped a snake inside it.

Much less ? Weird. Can you close anything that then stops it completely ?

Your noise could be the fan has lots of dust etc. in there . You could try to remove it by using a vacuum cleaner and sucking it out through the vents on the side of the laptop . This could cause it to overheat as well .
