Classic Shell doesn't charge for anything. You appear to have gained some malware on your computer (which is odd if you used the link provided by VHG as it should be 'clean'). Download, install and run the free version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware to get rid of it:
https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/
(NB: When installing, take care to deselect the pre-ticked option to take a free trial of the Premium version).
With regard to updating drivers, my own policy is to work to a rule of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". However all drivers are available from device manufacturers free of charge. To check that Windows automatically installs them, see here:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-8/all-drivers
Thanks once again Buenchico, have uninstalled the missing driver malaware, the classic shell went into operation, and now have the start button back as in win7.
The other link about drivers you gave me was good, and all drivers updated.
