Restore Files From A Backup

On my computer running Windows 7 professional I recently had to have spyware removed from my computer which entailed the removal of a programme and its re-instatement unfortunately this evolved the loss of some important files for this programme my question is how do I find the ones I want from a complete windows backup when all are listed by number and are in compressed Zip form without going through everyone to find the ones I require.

Thanks to you both for your help in trying to sort out the problem I have. I should have made it plain that the programme was Greeting Cards Deluxe 9 but the missing items were individual birthday cards produced within this programme by me so we're nothing to do with the makers of the programme. I have tried the suggestion of going through the first suggestion but that got me to a point were the items in question showed up but would not show any individual files I would add that I am only a novice at computing.
