Stopping Sky From Recording Repeats

I want to record a programme on Friday evenings but it clashes with 2 other progs that I am recording. So I have found it being repeated on Mondays so I have clicked on that and chose series link.
The problem is that although it is recording the Monday repeat show, it is also recording the Friday evening show which means that the other Friday night shows are only being part recorded because of the clash.
Can I make it only record the repeated show on Mondays via series link but not the initial show on Fridays?

You'll have to go into your planner and delete Friday's recording. That way the other two programmes it clashed with will still record.

not an ideal solution but you could record the repeated show as a single episode each time

When you delete the friday recording, make sure to record the Monday one as the Friday recording will prompt the series link for Monday. It's a pain in the backside when this happens, once I had every repeat recorded, about 6 of the same episode.

What you will need to do is cancel the series link for just the Friday episodes. Go into your planner and find the most recent Friday one - it will be this week's that is due to be recorded - highlight it and press the green button to cancel the series link. The double-headed arrow next to it on the right should disappear. You can then delete the Friday ones from your planner and it won't record any more of those. The Monday ones will still record as the box treats them as a separate series link.

I have taken the series link (double ended green arrow) off the programme that part recorded on Friday. The Monday repeat is set to record and I have put it on series link. So hopefully after the repeat records tomorrow, it won't add the Friday main show to the planner as it had previously.
