Is anyone familiar with its use? I have written an important document (ODT) in it and it seems to be stuck there, I want to send it as an email attachment but using 'send' doesn't work in any of the options, I am told; 'Unable to find a working email configuration'
I'm using windows7

I'm more used to OpenOffice, K, it's the forerunner of Libre.

I usually save to Desktop in .DOC format so that it can be read in Word. Then simply write the email, and attach from the Desktop.

It is important to save it as .doc if you are sending it somebody else.
I agree with the builder; either save it to desk top or to your document library first.

Thanks, but whatever I do it doesn't seem to want me to change the format from ODF file. I tried all options on 'save as' and 'send' I managed to copy and paste it but it looks like a dog's breakfast. I wish I had done it in Word which I've got, but it's a German version which I don't like too much.
I'm beginning to think I may have to re-type the whole thing again in Word.

Try saving it as ODT first. Libre recommends doing this before doing anything else.
Will it save in ODT?

Don't use 'Save' or 'Save as'. Use 'Export' to save into 'Doc' format.

'Send' only works if you've got an email client installed (such as Outlook Express, Thunderbird or Windows Live Mail) and your computer knows that it should be opened when you use 'Send'. (It opens that client with your document already attached to a blank email). If you're using a web-based service (or if your computer doesn't know which email client to open when you click on 'Send') simply create a new email, in exactly the same way as if you were only sending a text-only message, click on 'Attach', navigate to the location of your file and then double-click on it.
