I used to stay logged in to a few sites such as Answerbank but since getting my laptop updated even though I tick the 'stay signed in' box on some sites when i go back I have been logged out. Can anyone help me to get this facility back please?

Hi Spotit, check your 'History' in settings and see if there is an automatic 'Clear History' selection picked ie. 'Clear every 2 days'
If so, this will affect your ability to stay logged in and passwords to be remembered.
If you select 'don't clear history' then your passwords will remain saved and you should automatically log in each time you go back to the forum or site.

Thanks Peaspeculiars but I have always used 'Clear History' in the past and it has not affected my staying logged in to chosen sites. It just clears the history of the sites I have visited.
Which browser are you using?
Hmm... are you online in 'incognito mode'? (again, in settings)
Question Author
Using Safari and not in 'incognito mode'.

Thanks, Methyl, I was just told I was not in 'incognito' mode. Tried Googling and followed given instructions but their diagram did not tally with mine.
It told me to go to Safari, Private Browsing, but this is not on my Safari drop down list. Only thing I can find is in Preferences, "Ask websites not to track me" Should I untick this?
