Itunes Duplicating All My Entries.

I have just discovered that iTunes is duplicating all my entries and I have twice the number entries that I really. What am I doing wrong?

try this - it says mac but I think the instructions are the same

Thank you ukbod2015 but with respect I know how to remove the duplicates. i want to know how to stop them in iTunes. Any ideas. Bramley
