Bad Sound On My Pc !
4 Answers
For the last couple of weeks, I have had problems with the sound on my PC. I quite often use my PC for the iplayer and Youtube, but now the sound has a sort of "burbling" quality. I thought it might be something to do with the Broadband difficulties that I was experiencing, but my Tablet and Notebook work OK and without sound problems.
I have done all the usual things...unplugged the speakers, and plugged them in again, but to no avail. How do I check that my sound card is OK, without opening up the PC ?

You could do a test to establish if your Sound Card is working correctly. Accordingly, I have copied and pasted a very simple test from Ehow, which you could try.:-
Checking a Sound Card with the Device Manager
Click "Start," then click "Control Panel."
Double click on "Device Manager."
Locate "Sound, Video and Game Controllers" in the list of devices, and click the plus sign to expand the list.
Right-click on the audio device listed and select "Properties." The various property tabs will have information about the sound card, its driver and whether it is working properly.
