2 Answers
hi
having just purchased my first mac book pro i have a query regarding the startup i am running OSX yosemite and when i turn on i get a pale grey screen then a dark grey apple logo and finally a progress bar in total it takes approx 90 seconds before the login screen appears after logging in everything works perfectly i am only querying this as a work colleague has the exact same machine and he says that he has never had the grey screen . is this normal and if not what can i do to rectify this thanks in advance

That's a normal start up from being powered off. Your colleague may be sleeping their mac, not shutting it down, which would give a more instant start up
