1 Shockwave (whatever it does) seems to stop regularly and I have to stop the programme, is there an alternative to this? it seems to freeze the screen not sure why it does this.

2. I've downloaded McAfee free security but I've only able to save the file, how do I launch it to run it?.

Shockwave displays graphics in your browser window. If you are having problems then uninstall it, reboot your PC, then reinstall it.

For McAfee it depends what type of file you have downloaded. Best thing to do is double click on the file and it should start the install.

If that does not work come back to us as there are other options but I don't want to confuse you with giving other options.

What is the full name of the McAfee product you have downloaded because usually it is a chargable product though they do a free product called "Security Scan Plus".

If not that it may either be a trial version, or maybe even a scam so be careful.

The Mcafee is the free download, I am a bit wary as I've just come out of a virus on my laptop. I've been running a full scan using Microsoft security Essentials which threw out 6 potential threats. I thought perhaps trying another security scan would clear any further problems. I have downloaded it but I cant run it, the notice only asks me to save the file or cancel.
^^^Save it to your chosen location, then go to that location and double-click on the file.
Wise to save and scan a downloaded file before running it anyway.

Thanks Chris and OG, got the flu, feeling a bit dopy nothing seems to be going my way lately.
Tried earlier to run McAfee, a notice came up saying it is either not connected to the internet or the McAfee is unavailable. I'll scan it and try again later. Thanks
