Changing Bt Password On Laptop

I have bt internet and decided to change my password. Went into bt.com on my laptop and changed password, all works OK. Then I made the password the same on my ipad by going into Settings, clicking on my email address, and changing the password at the botton of the page so they both match. But the ipad wont recognise this new password and I cant send emails. Help please! Surely they should both be the same?

You should not have to do anything on ipad. If you changed password on one device that's it done on all.

Deleting your BT account from your iPad, and then creating it afresh, ought to fix the problem.

I had changed my password for incoming emails but not for outgoing. I eventually sorted it in Settings. Thanks all.
