Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Saga Cryptic Challenge - January 2016 - Can Anyone Explain Please?

Please could anyone help explain the following answers that I think are correct to the above crossword.
6a. Heading west, curve around port (5) ACCRA. 'arc' = curve but why 'ac'

12d. African means to reject baby born on April 1st. (5) I think the answer is NAIRA a Nigerian monetary unit (African means or money) I had N?I?A. April 1st = A but where does NAIR come from?

11d. Topsoil, earth and sludge turned up for rock plant (5). I think the answer is SEDGE. s and e coming from top Soil and Earth, but how to justify 'dge'?
Any insights gratefully received. Thanks ahead.

Many thanks to all - sorry I lost the earlier link somewhere in computerspace! Thanks for clearing up the niggles - should have seen SEDUM. Hindsight etc.....
