Conditional Formatting In Excel Charts
5 Answers
Hi,
I am using Excel 2010 and want to create a chart with conditionally formatting that turns the chart background green when the data is above target and red when it is below.
There are only two lines of data in the chart.
Is this possible ?

Basics are place chart in a fixed area of spreadsheet, e.g E3:L15, then use the Conditional Formating Options to create two new rules each which will change the Cells E3:L15 background colour based on a cell condition of the chart data cells e.g. Red if data cell A5>20, Green if A5
