Linking ipod with songs to a new computer ?

I am attaching ipod with songs already on it to a new computer. When itunes opens up it tells me the attached ipod is linked to another library and itunes asks if I want to replace all songs on ipod with library playlist( I have not downloaded any songs to itunes library so I suppose its full of generic songs) How do I import songs from ipod to itunes when my current ipod library is associated with another computer ?

Download a free program called Ephpod which will allow you to copy all the tracks from your ipod to any other computers, it also allows you to unprotect purchased music from itunes that you may have bought. I recently changed computers and it worked a treat for me.

Or, if you still have the other computer from which your songs originally came, go back to that one, delete all the music off your iPod, then add it all again NOT THRU ITUNES but just onto the hard disk, then you can take them to the new computer. It's explained rather more betterer at: http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/tutorial/ip_gettingsta rted_t13.html  (you want page 14, and click on 'learn more' for a step-by-step guide).

The way suggested by Khana above probably works just as well, but this is the officially-sanctioned method! :)

I figured it out , not sure if this is the method u explained BetsyLou. ok , So I uninstalled itunes , plugged in ipod, windows explorer opened up, the window for ipod is empty because all files are hidden, I changed folder options to view hidden files, then I saw all of my songs ! I pulled them to hard disk, reinstalled itunes, plugged in ipod , itunes wiped it when library was linked, them pushed songs on HD into itunes and that was it.
