Email Probs On Blackberry

I'm trying to set up email on OH's Bb, but having problems. The quick way where you enter email address and password doesn't work. It tells me to check they are correct when I know they are. I've tried the long-winded way by entering port numbers and server addresses and still no good. I've spoken to the ISP who verified I had the correct info, and Blackberry techs who say I must have the wrong password, which I haven't. I'm at a loss as to what to do next. I managed to get it on his last Bb, which he doesn't have any more. Any ideas please?

the only silly suggestion I have Clover is, are you sure about the password, insofar as capital letters and numbers?
I know you know the password is correct, but when you type it in and all you see are stars irks me on some sites

Thanks for your reply, alba. Yes, I am sure the characters are entered correctly.
I hate BlackBerries. Why can't he get an iPhone? I've got at least half an idea of what to do with them.

I know nothing much about Blackberries, but as far as passwords being rejected are concerned; sometimes it is better to pretend they have been forgotten and tick whatever box you need to, to get a reset.

I've somehow managed to do it, by lots of fiddling around with different server addresses and port numbers. What a hassle. I've spent all day on this. Thanks for your reply O_G.
