Of course, it's possible. You need iTunes to import music from PC to iPad. And you can download iTunes from apple.com for free.
Step1. After you download and install iTunes, drag and drop the music into iTunes library.
Step2. Sync your iPad with iTunes, the music will be uploaded to iPad automatically.
