I switched on the Cortana Music Search the other day, whilst Radio 2 was on in the background, and it worked! However, and as a consequence of the experiment, I now have a list of tracks which I want to delete and Windows 10 answers doesn't provide the solution. Incidentally, my search history was - and is - switched off.

The reply from Krishna Prasobh V here may well help:

If not, scroll down to the link provided by Ratandeep, to see if that helps.
Buenchico's post wasn't there when I started.

Thank you both for taking the trouble to provide answers which I do appreciate. I'd already seen the first link - it didn't work - and I've tried the second link too but without success...

Thank you again, Buenchico, but everywhere I've looked there doesn't seem to be a section which is specifically devoted to Music Searches - and I find that particularly irritating!
I found this, which you may not have read, that implies the music history cannot be deleted:

Also, 'Music' is curiously not classified as a type of interest, unlike News, Travel, Sports, etc. The Bing page where you decide "what Cortana knows about you" doesn't let you manage Music........"

This was back in February but if the situation has changed since then I can't find any evidence of it.

I have tried today to delete my own music search history and have not been able to.

Thank you, hc4361, and I'm grateful for the fact that you've tried to delete your music history as well. Now I'm really curious! Does that mean that we both will have, in theory, a list of tracks that will go on forever if we continue to use this feature?
We'll just have to ensure that we only seek respected music from now on - no more Pussycat Dolls :D
According to this, Cortana only retains the results of the last 10 searches:

So, if you're embarrassed by Cortana showing that you've been searching for songs by Chas & Dave, The Wurzels and Crazy Frog, simply carry out 10 searches for songs which are less likely to cause hilarity among your friends.
Question Author
I'm grateful to you both for your research, your time and trouble - and for your good humour. But how did you both know that I'm currently showing tracks by the Pussycat Dolls and Crazy Frog?
