Facebook Notifications: I Need To Turn Them Off

I've asked this question before and it was successfully resolved by Buenchico. Recently, I've had my computer repaired and now the problem is back. However, Facebook has changed things and I can't use the same procedure as I did the last time, so once again, I need your help

Notifications - telling me someone has posted something - keep popping up, even when I'm not logged into Facebook. They appear on the bottom right of the screen. Can this be fixed? What's the new procedure?

It appears that you can Not turn off 'Notifications' but can control the type of things for which you are notified. Click the following for further information.:-

Can Ijust piggy back on this thread? ...it's kinda similar..;) I've had to start up new account, and how can I stop "people you might be interested in" from crawling past me on there?

On Facebook Go to settings
Click Notifications
Click Desktop and mobile
Under Desktop (where is says "See your notifications in the corner of your computer screen, even when Facebook is closed.") click Turn Off

Hi Lynn. Do these only appear on the fb website? OR when you're on other websites using chrome? OR are they part of the Windows notification centre?

You'll have to turn it off at each level if it's not just on FB.
