With Windows, whether searching for a file or a specific text string anywhere on a HDD, both approaches used different settings of MS Explorer. But this appears not to be the case in the Ubuntu OS, where the Search is only for "documents and folders by name". There is no "advanced" feature on this file/folder search program. _I would appreciate somebody's advice on which of the many Ubuntu 16.04's programs would do the job of searching for a TEXT STRING on any partition (ext or NTFS) or, indeed, the whole HDD. Thank you.
